Agserve is a locally owned and operated company, serving the rural community for over 10 years. Doug has expanded the business over the years, previously located on South Street with 6 employees, the team has now grown with 11 employees on board, with a new location on Malcolm McDowell Ave, in Ashburton with a larger premise to work.
Doug (Director) has worked in the irrigation and farmingfield for 40+ years with years of knowledge. Cheryl, who is also a director, has an especially important role in the office, handling accounts and ensuring the team is under control. Between them, these two run a highly approachable team of 11 members.
Allain has been working for us for 3 years now. Allain is our only qualified diesel mechanic and has been a diesel mechanic for 9 years starting his apprenticeship in 2014 & being fully qualified in 2018 and also has training on Grimme potato handling machinery and experience with diagnostics.Allain is one of the owners here now at Ag Serve as of early this year, which is a huge accomplishment & achievement, so you’ll be seeing a lot more of Allain! He handles all the machinery and Grimme.
Mason has been working for us for 8 years! Mason is a fully qualified engineer and our mig/tig/arc welder. He also handles looking after the engineering ,workshop & irrigation.Mason is also one of the owners now here at Ag Serve as of earlier this year, which is an awesome accomplishment and achievement! He’s been an engineer for 13 years with loads of knowledge and experience.
Perry has been working for us for over 4 years now. Most of you may know Perry from having worked within the agricultural industry previously. He is enjoying the career change, being one of our Pivot & Irrigation specialist and is currently under going his certificate in irrigation technology which is an international recognised qualification. Keep up the good work Perry!
Pete has been with us for almost 4 years! Pete is one of our qualified machinist engineers. Pete has previous experience of 6 years doing mechanical engineering and previous work within the army doing an armourers apprenticeship looking after all their weaponry. He helps out with irragation, diary yard work, anything with machinery, engineering and also in the workshop.
Jack has been with us for 2 years now, some of you may also recognize him from his previous experience. He has his Class 5 heavy transport licence from driving trucks & tractors to maintaining the gear which is a great asset having him here at Ag Serve.Jack is one of our qualified engineers and has been engineering for 7 years, he does all things engineering & machinery here at AgServe.
Niko has been with us over a year now, he’s been with us for a year now. Niko is our irrigation serviceman, rotorainers. Niko has an agricultural background and experience on his family’s farm in Argentina and also 6+ years as production 2IC manager. It’s great having you on our team Niko!
Tala has been with us for two years now. He is our after school handy man and works full time during the holidays. Tala helps the lads in the workshop and helps out onsite,he is learning new skills everyday and he is now a part time worker for Ag Serve! When he completes school, he would like to expand his knowledge and complete an engineering apprenticeship!
Jaimee is our administrator, she is one of our newest members as of 2024. Jaime deals with all our supplier parts, orders for our customers and also supports Cheryl in the office! Great new asset to our team!
